Hello I’m Shane Shannon, 24 yrs. old and from Edinburgh Indiana. I was diagnosed with Autism at age 2, and with the help of family and many others have fought my way from nonverbal to high functioning.
I’m from a family of Artist, my Great Grandmother, Grandmother and Father to name a few. Living with my parents & both Grandmothers it was decided that all would share in my home-schooling. At age 13 my parents decided art should be a part of the curriculum. One of the Grandmothers has a Bachelor of Arts from Franklin College and would therefore be my art teacher. She started me with drawing, then moved me to color pencils, I tried watercolors and oils. But once I started using Acrylics I was hooked, and loved how vivid they looked. I usually use a 40 in x 30 in canvas.

A few years ago, I realized I love the exploration of the things I am painting. And within a few years have painted more than a few Acrylic original paintings. It excites me to share in the joy people find in my paintings. I find it hard to let go of the Originals as quick as I finish them. It was at this point that we decided to print Limited Edition Giclée & offer some Originals of my work.
Starting this journey while exciting, I also find a bit scary. I look at Art as a love, not a job. Therefor my father is helping me with the details. I hope my art brings the same light to you as it does myself and others. Thank You
